Each time I join a webinar about writing, this question always comes up: Are you a plotter, or a pantser? I’ve never felt comfortable labeling myself as either of these.

I Was a Reader First

Every great writer I admire is also an avid reader. A high school English teacher once told our class that any writer who doesn’t read is doomed to failure. I was shocked by the idea that anyone would do one without the other.
